The Picnic Boogie at LaPalisse - France has been announced the 'Petit Pique-Nique' will be 16th to 22nd August, this is the same time as SPA.  So if you are not going to SPA then this Boogie is most defiantly for you. 

Dave Morris and Myself (Dave Lewis) will be on hand (16th to the 23rd, there will still be jumping on the 24th)to ensure you can do some relaxed fun jumping from the Fantastic CASA 212-300 in warm and pleasant France.

They have upgraded the Skyvan engines, so it is Tailgates all the way.

Accommodation:
Everything is provided on the dropzone, Accommodation consists of 4 people rooms and twin rooms with children beds (book early). If you prefer, you can set your tent or caravan on the airfield.

The restaurant during the day is also the bar during the evenings. There is a swimming pool and sauna, large indoor packing area and debrief rooms.

Travel By Train:

Daily direct connections with Paris (average 3 hours)
Paris-St Etienne-Lyon line and Paris-Clermont line
Lyon-Nantes line and Lyon-Bordeaux line

Saint Germain des Fossés main station, there are Buses to the city of Lapalisse or Lapalisse railway station

(The trains that stop in Vichy first stop in Saint Germain des Fossés.) Call the DZ and they can pick you up!

Travel by Car:

Calais -Paris is straight forward and well signed posted.
Paris- Lapalisse use the A77
:
Take the "autoroute du soleil" (A6 highway). After Nemours, take the A77 highway ending in Cosne sur Loire. Take the N7 main road in the direction of Lapalisse. The airfield is 1 km before the village of Lapalisse on the left. The last village you will drive through is Périgny.
(if you using TomTom it will take you straight through the center of Paris, not one for a Friday Night!!)

Other activities:
Of course having your own car means you can take the family out and about for one of the days or more!

FAQ's

 
Do I have to commit to everyday during my visit?

You don't have to commit to everyday, some people are planning on just doing a couple of days and tying that in with a family holiday, just let us know so we can plan for you.

Is there a minimum experience level?

We cater for all experience levels, if you are not sure then feel free to email me

How many jumps do I need to budget for?

We normally look at doing 5 to 6 jumps a day and you can do as many of those as you like.

What type of skydives are you planning?

We will be doing a mixture of Big-way-Boogie, Sequential, Visual (Streamers, tubes etc) in fact you name will organize it.

Do need to send in references?

No, we operate with mixed level groups (there is slot for everyone) big-way groups and groups based on experience and we mix this up as we go along.  So  everyone will get what they looking for.

Were is the Boogie?

The Boogie is at Lapalisse this year Not Vichy.

We will be bringing the family can we alternate?

Yes, those with children can alternate jumps.

Can I camp?

There is Camping and hook-ups available for those with Caravans/Campers, there is a small charge for camping.  Prices available from Lapalisse direct.

Do I need medical insurance?

If you are resident from a European country, then you don't need insurance to receive medical assistants, but to stop you having to pay and then claim the money back when you get home most country's offer a type of insurance/identity card. For the UK this used to be known as a E111 these are now replaced by the EHIC card, which are free and can be applied for here (this is not a replacement for personal accident insurance)

Does my BPA membership cover me in France?

Yes, in fact it covers you for third party insurance world-wide excluding United States of America. The full breakdown for the 2008-2009 cover can be found here
